Model’s Workshop hosted a fantastic styling challenge this month with the theme of Victorian Horror. Participants were asked to style a modern and high fashion look inspired by the Victorian era and elements of the horror genre; words given as inspiration included edgy, macabre and Gothic.
Our five participants were Brandy Benazzi, Iceeee (Icemint Haven), Jaily Bailey, Resmay Bloodstorm and Rhiananna Greymyst. The scores for this challenge were some of the closest we have ever seen in the styling challenges. Our winner was Rhiananna, who received a gift card as her prize. The 1st runner-up was Resmay and the 2nd runner-up was Jaily. All participants put together highly creative and inventive looks. Some of them presented us with vivid story and outfit descriptions!
Our judges for the challenge were Marsha Warwillow, Editor in Chief of slGoth Magazine; Tizzy (Tiszo Cloc), professor and owner of Capri Elite Modeling and a committee staff member at Model’s Workshop; and Dakota Lavarock, winner of the Model’s Workshop September androgyny styling challenge. They provided value feedback to participants.
Many people helped to make the night possible. Our stellar CEO Suki Rexen outdid herself with the creation of another amazing stage. We’re lucky to have her. Special thanks also goes to some of the committee members: Charmer for providing the winner’s prize, Vann Underwood for assisting with stage direction and Lira Savira for taking photographs.
