Uniforms Styling Challenge review

uniforms-ruby-winnerphoto This month, Model’s Workshop held their August Styling Challenge on the 26th with the theme of uniforms. Participants were asked to create their look using this type of clothing, and its structural elements, as their inspiration. The theme proved popular as we had many participants; Mahnola, Cameron, Ruby Ornamental, Arion Vella, Paris Evermore, Dakota Lavarock, Slim Nootan, Genesis Moralez, Destiny Catwalker and a special guest, Jena Adder. The turn out was great and all participants put forth quite an effort on their styling. The scores were very high overall.

We had three judges: Zoomy Bluebird, Miss Colour of Couture 2015 and Miss Virtual Sierra Leone 2016; Lira Savira, the winner of our July 2015 style challenge; Ahn Avion, MENstuff/WOMENstuff/HOMEstuff  Co-Owner and the 1st runner-up from our June 2015 style challenge.

Our winner was Ruby Ornamental, who blew the judges away with her choice of styling. She won a gift card to PurpleMoon and will be on the judging panel of the September styling challenge. Mahnola came in 2nd place and received a gift card to Bitch Heels. Destiny came in 3rd place and received a gift card to Lybra.

As stated, all participants did very well and showed a clear inspiration in each look. The audience and judges enjoyed providing feedback to our COO Jena Adder, who also took part in the challenge.

We have many thank yous: to the judges for taking the time to provide excellent feedback; our CEO Suki Rexen for yet again creating an incredible stage, as well as taking photos; Jena Adder for her guidance around time-keeping and the help she provided to me during the challenge; Vann Underwood for creating the styling challenge advertisement and putting notices in SL groups; and Lira Savira for taking photographs.
