Garden Party Chic Styling Challenge Highlights

MW Styling Challenge - May14-14 Garden Party Chic Winner Lady Kitten Katze-Elmer (falinakatze)

What a fabulous time we had on Wednesday, May 14th, as Model’s Workshop celebrated spring with a Garden Party Chic Styling Challenge. The models looked AMAZING! The garden decor was truly spectacular, and it was a packed room with guests and supporters who also dressed in the Garden Party theme. Two main criteria for this theme was to wear a hat and flowers must be part of the outfit or the accessories.

Our first place WINNER of the challenge was Lady Kitten Katze-Elmer (falinakatze), who captivated the audience and the judges in a super chic spring pantsuit in hues of peach, green and yellow by SLC. Perfect for an afternoon Garden Party, the suit was set off with a green and yellow stylish hat with feather and flowers by Boudoir, sexy heart-shaped gold, green and diamond jewelry by Chop Zuey, and simple daytime makeup that included rosy cheeks and lips.

Lady Kitten (below left) received the top scores by the audience (7), and scored tops with judges Monica Balut and JewelOfDeNiel (39), giving her a final score of 46. As the winner, Lady Kitten received a 2500L gift card to Allure High Quality Mesh Clothing courtesy of owner Athayus Quan, and bragging rights for a month at Model’s Workshop. Excellent job Lady Kitten.

Second place went to Amity Zapatero (Amity Sorbet) (top middle), who delighted us in her pretty Moon Amore Primavera dress, large flower hat, simple sling back shoes by Essenz, rose necklace by Buttery Toast and earrings by Finesmith. Amity won over the judges scoring 39 points plus her 2 points from the audience totalling 41. Amity also received a gift card from Allure. This was Amity’s first time entering a MW Styling Challenge and we know she will do very well in many others to come. Great job Amity.

Third place went to Sakiko Wéi Haramori (cutehongtatsu) (top right), whose oh-so-cute ensemble melted the hearts of the audience and the judges. Sakiko complemented her flower spring dress in lilac by Nana Saenz with a large sun hat that repeated the flowers found in in the dress, and she kept it adorable by adding a cute pair of lilac suede shoes by Gizele Grizot. This too is Sakiko’s first time entering a MW Styling Challenge and she did a fine job, scoring 3 points from the audience and 37 from the judges totalling 40. She received a 500L gift card from Allure. Well done, Sakiko.

Our other three contestants (l-r), Mrs Nickle North-Sparrowtree (nickle.sparrowtree), Fanta Loon (maryaxang.bluebird), and Paris Unplugged had very close scores (39, 38 and 34 respectively), putting together beautifully stunning Garden Party Chic ensembles and excellent posing. You were all fabulous and we thank you for taking part. We hope you acquired some valuable tips to help you in your modelling careers, and hope to see you all at our next event.
