Winter Ball Styling Challenge Highlights

MWSC Sep25 - Winner - Flora Raven (floraniana)Congratulations to Flora Raven (Floraniana) on winning Model’s Workshop WINTER BALL Styling Challenge on September 25th. Flora says she created this mix and match of white and blue to represent both aspects of life, which can mean different things depending on the person watching. For Flora this look symbolizes a lady who, like winter, can be both soft and hard at the same time.

The classic blue sequin gown (shown below left), with satin belt and tulle train is paired with a fur hoodie, victorian jewelry, beautiful blue/silver makeup and blue nail polish. Great job! Flora wins bragging rights for a month, her image at Model’s Workshop and a feature in ModeLS Magazine by Chloe Electra.

Second place went to Red Jess (redtess69) (middle), who lit up the icy stage with her warm, wintery angelic outfit. Red explains, “This outfit exemplifies the romance, beauty, sexiness and warmth with a touch of angelic whimsy. The crisp white layers of taffeta on the bodice transcending to the multitude layers of pinks and ivory colored tulle of the skirt and train highlighted with random white roses represents the first snowfall. Quiet, beautiful and perfect. I feel like an angelic princess in this gown and would dance all night. I have chosen a light glossy lip to represent melting ice from the warm heart of this princess.” A beautiful story and presentation. Nicely done, Red.

A very close third went to Lopez Fairlady (right), who describes her outfit as the White Witch who froze Narnia for a hundred years. She explains, “This gown makes me feel cold and devious yet incredibly beautiful like the actress who plays this character…I feel powerful and breath taking when I wear this Styling. The fabulous, midnight, blue, sequenced, mermaid style gown hugs my costumed shape, and the plunging V neck line shows off the sexy curves of my body and my pale skin. The gown has luscious baby blue, LeMay ruffles trailing at the feet and off the shoulder!” Lopez’s wispy wind-blown hair, spiky ice cubes on the shoulder and crown and perfectly-matched icy jewelry made her look simply breathtaking.

Thank you to everyone who participated in MW’s Winter Ball Styling Challenge. Each of you brought warmth, grace and style to our chilly runway. A special thank you to Hellishly Gothly for the fabulous runway build.
