MODEL’S WORKSHOP STYLING CHALLENGE

WINNERS OF MODEL’S WORKSHOP AND KULTIVATE STYLING CHALLENGE!
The MW and Kultivate Styling Challenge “Fashion in Art” held June 21st, 2017 at 1ppm SLT was a huge success! With many contestants who did a fine job it wasn’t easy to choose those that stood out. The judges certainly had a challenge themselves! There were, however, those that did stand out and we have the winner in her Mondrian inspired outfit, Saori440 pictured below:
We also have our winner with those that placed 2nd, tied for 3rd and 4th pictured below (from right to left): Saori440, Jaily Bailey, Sheila Style and Cassianmorigi, and Catsmeow17. Our 1st place winner was our lovely Tiszo Cioc, who unfortunately had to step away quickly after the challenge so we missed her for our photo. Congrats to all our winners and thanks to everyone that entered!
Special thanks to John and Eles Brianna for their generous donation of prizes and for all the work and effort they did, including the sleek and very artsy runway build, to make this challenge a success. Happy 2nd Anniversary Kultivate!

MW AND KULTIVATE MAGAZINE STYLING CHALLENGE
Kultivate Magazine is celebrating their 2nd anniversary by teaming up with Model’s Workshop to cohost the month of June’s styling challenge. Kultivate Magazine and Model’s Workshop invite you to join in “ Fashion in Art,” where each person will wear their best expression of this bold styling! Choose your favorite artist and style an outfit that reflects his or her work, technique and overall mood. Participating in this exciting styling challenge gains you valuable feedback and you can win wonderful prizes! As always the sky’s the limit.
Prizes will include:
-1st Place Winner: Image featured in Kultivate Magazine’s July 2017 Issue and on all social media websites, 2000L’s and three gift cards; Your photo will appear on the Model’s Workshop website and at MW HQ in-world

MW “STEAMPUNK” CHALLENGE MAY 2017
This month’s MW Styling Challenge, “Steampunk” was a great success! Held on Wednesday, May 24th at 5pm SLT many members participated dressing in imaginative ways to express this fun genre! Everyone did a fantastic job, so fabulous that our judges had a very hard time deciding. In light of this we had two winners, “Catalysis and Saori440”. Both ladies received prizes with their winning photo being displayed in our Hall of Fame at the Model’s Workshop HQ.

MW April 2017 “Singing in the Rain” Styling Challenge Winner!
Congratulations to Rockinman1, Winner of the “Singing in the Rain” Styling Challenge for April 2017. Rockin impressed the judges with his supreme styling skills by wearing a very dapper three piece suit, eye-catching wingtip shoes, and a jaunty fedora. The set was done by Suki Rexen and was an amazing display! It looked as though the contestants were walking in the park in the middle of a wonderful April shower. The challenge took place on April 26th and all the contestants involved did a fantastic job styling a rain proof look.

MW March 2017 “Red Carpet” Styling Challenge Winner!
Congratulations to RaquelValentina, Winner of the “Red Carpet” Styling Challenge for March 2017. Raquel wowed the judges with her styling skills by wearing a strapless black gown with white opera gloves. and a lovely pearl necklace. The set was done by Suki Rexen and as usual it looked amazing! The challenge took place on Mar 15th and all the contestants involved did a wonderful job styling a red carpet look.

Model’s Workshop invites you to join in “Walking the Red Carpet”. This challenge is open as always to women and men. It’s going to be a fun one as you all don your finest garb and compete to get the most paparazzi! Prizes include: $1000L , $600L Posesion Gift Card, as well as magazine coverage. (see details below) Don’t miss it!

These Model’s Workshop challenges offer a unique opportunity to show your styling abilities to a group of your peers and get direct feedback. Remember to use appropriate poses and walks to present and sell your styling but don’t forget the basics! Check prims carefully and try to mix and match when possible.
There will be a panel of judges who will give contest style ranking as well as audience participants with vast modeling experience giving positive critiques. Newer models gain insight into the contest procedure as well as the experience of the judging and critique process. Veteran models get a forum in which to continue to refine their styling skills. The winner will have their photo in ModeLS Magazine and Diversity Magazines. They will also have an interview with photos published in E N V Y Magazine! Their photo will be featured on the Model’s Workshop Blog as well as inworld at the Model’s Workshop HQ.
You need not spend a fortune on this challenge. Use your inventory in unique, outside the box ways.

Who Wore It Best – Seeing Red Styling Challenge Recap
Congratulations to Bai Nightfire, Winner of the “Seeing Red” Who Wore It Best February 2017 Styling Challenge! Bai impressed the judges with her styling skills by layering a flirty little skirt over red chino pants, one of the items available for use in the challenge, and adding some very daring designs on top. She looked astonishingly sexy and ready for her Valentine’s Day date. Honorable Mentions include Ava Jhamin and Amy Morgan, who did a great job styling. The set was done by Suki Rexen and as usual she did a fabulous job! The challenge took place on Feb 15th and all the contestants did an impressive job styling a look with one of the items sent to them.

Model’s Workshop invites you to join in a “Who wore it best challenge” where each person will be given the same red item to build an outfit around. This challenge is open as always to women and men. You will style the item given to represent your idea of that perfect Valentine’s Day date! So whether that is going out to dinner or engaging in a romantic sunset hike it is your choice, just make sure your outfit represents your dream Valentine’s Day date and be sure the item given to you is used as it was given. Gain valuable feedback and prizes! As always the sky is the limit!
